Introduced in November, 1943, these are the original US Army M43 double buckle boots. These boots replaced the ankle roughout boots with detachable canvas gaiters in favor of sewn-on leather shin protectors. They were in general circulation by 1944, too late for D-Day but were worn in action in Europe at the end of World War 2, including at the Battle of the Bulge.

These boots are size 6B or 24 cm. One buckle strap is broken, and a very small cut is sewn together on the back of one boot. This pair is quite rare, and would make a great collectible and can even be worn. You'd be the only kid on the block with them, guaranteed.
